CHALLENGE:
Re-brand London's Fashion and Textile Museum to more accurately represent the museum’s modern style and it’s ever-changing content.
DESCRIPTION:
My solution is a flexible branding system with 450 possible logo variations that combine one of two layout options with one of 15 background patterns and one of 15 logomark designs. The history of fashion and textile design is the driving force behind the branding system with each gridded pattern and sleeve illustration derived from popular styles through the centuries. With a subtle hint to the female form in the negative space, the logo variants use form and pattern in unison to achieve a modern museum brand that honors the styles of the past. The pink color scheme reflects the vibrant hair of the founder, Zandra Rhodes and the exterior of the museum itself.
